Reporting Infringement
To report content on MythCaster that you believe infringes your copyright, send our agent a written notice that includes:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf;
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed;
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with information reasonably sufficient for us to locate it (for example, its URL);
- Your name, address, telephone number and email address;
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
We will review complete notices and remove or disable access to the material where appropriate.
Counter-Notice
If material you posted was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, send our agent a counter-notice that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature;
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal;
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice or their agent.
We will forward the counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice and may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless they tell us they have filed a court action to restrain the activity.
Repeat Infringers
We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers of others’ copyrights.
Misrepresentation
Anyone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
